We were doing research on cosmetics branding- and asked a friend who is a former “cosmetina” about who is hot.
She suggested looking at “Tony & Tina” so we did a Google search, and another search, and another search- and couldn’t find the company site. What we did find was this:
Buzz Marketing Group: Case Studies: Tony + Tina
Results
Tony Tina experienced a 25% increase in web site traffic, which led to a major site upgrade.
Unfortunately- the agency didn’t provide a link to the site, nor did the search engines. Must be a pretty impressive site- so hip, they want to keep it a secret.
If anyone knows the url to Tony + Tina Cosmetics- please use the comment section to tell us the link.
If you are an agency, and your client doesn’t come before your site in search- shame on you.
Well, it’s not http://www.tonytina.com or http://www.tonyandtina.com
If I can’t find it in 5 minutes it’s not out there.
Next!

tonytina.com is a spam site. Tony and Tina are mere blips on the periphery of the cosmetics radar — really, really bad marketing– and have been subsequently dropped from Sephora (which is a death knell if I ever heard of one).
An interesting cosmetics phenomenon is the Jessica Simpson “Dessert” line of “edible” beauty products. Started out overpriced at Sephora, then drug store priced at Walgreen’s, now marked down at TJ Maxx– all in the space of a year. Their site is awful (www.desserttreats.com) and they, too, have been dropped from Sephora.
I thought Tony & Tina was no more!
I’d pay a pretty penny to have their glitter eyeliner again…. I used to never go without it, but now I go without make up 98% of the time because just nothing can compare. Does anyone know where I can find it???
ATTENTION LISA:
Click here: eBay: MAC MERCURIC Glitter Eye Liner eyeliner RARE NIB (item 320042553724 end time Nov-02-06 16:32:22 PST) Lisa, Is this similar to what she is looking for?
OR ?
I (know a souce)and she has – mica, which can be used as liner, shadow; lip color, nail polish, blush or glitter for any part of body, including skin, tops of feet for sandal wearers and in the hair when added to hair gel.
Once added to the appropriate product or clear lip liner, etc. it becomes the product of choice.
Mega popular sales item here in California.
Mine come in colors – and sell retail for $6.00 per small container.
I don’t think what I have is what she is seeking though.
This looks more like her product need.
Tony and tina is out of business since like late 2005 i think :((
